Slim Pickins garden staff help with the weeding
Studio Culiblog is proud to announce the opening this Sunday of it’s new minimalist concept restaurant in Amsterdam Noord. Slim Pickins is an outdoor micro-eatery situated on the edge of a raised bed, in an urban kitchen garden, serving up the occasional amuse gueule from whatever the tiny garden has to offer, even and especially when that’s not very much.
Sunday’s (April 26, 2009) menu fixe for max 4 ppl:
– chamomile tea
– nettle gazpacho
– leafy greens and bitter herbs ravioli in a puddle of extremely light ground elder pesto
And that’s it!
Reservations obligatory via this blog, maximum 4 guests, weather permitting.
All home grown vegetation is organic, but due to the current small harvest, Slim Pickins will also be serving foraged and rummaged vegetation from the surrounding area.

i was so eager to see something new here!
i wish i could go to the opening… it would be great.
some months ago i had a workshop about food design with Katja Gruijters, and i brought some pictures of your blog to the class as inspirational images, so Katja told me that she knew you.
I don´t know why but i intuited that :)

Hi, I’ve been following this page for a few years. Just wanted you to know… Oregon {U.S.A.} is well, I just picked 40+ pounds of asparagus. for free of course {it’s wild}. and there are wild edibles all year within 5 miles of my home. Hope U have good luck with the garden… thanks Jeff
